The two people I have tried to make contact with are Mrs. Bimbo Are in Nigeria and Mr. Eric Atmore in South Africa. So far, I have not heard back from either.

- Early Childhood Education (Discussion)I think I will probably get more feedback here and I noticed some of the members of this community are outside of the US.
Hi Lynne! Way to be on top of things! As we are thinking about connections this week I am wondering how connected you are with social media. I have lots of teacher friends who are active on Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin. I am amazed at how many teachers find lesson plans on Pinterest as well. I have never participated in a discussion board even though I belong to NPEN (National Parent Education Network). I sometimes wonder where people find the time. Now that I am typing this, I am realizing that we are not in the same discussion group, ugh! No need to answer this ramble then! Have a great weekend! Katy
ReplyDeleteKaty, I do facebook and just started on Linkedin. I have never used social media for lessons; however, I know teachers at my center who get ideas from pinterest.
ReplyDeleteLynne,
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to learning if you hear back from these early childhood professionals. At my past child care center, we served numerous families that came to the United States from various parts of Africa. It would be neat to hear some of their viewpoints and be able to relate to their feedback on both a personal and professional level. Also, good thinking about signing up for a community blog. That would be a great way to get some feedback from a variety of professionals and compare many different viewpoints at once.

Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI am excited about this class assignment and hope we both make contact with the people we chose. I really think I might also research other people and organizations. I rather have too many than no one.lol I will be blogging with you soon.
